More Pictures along the way - April 23rd - Victoria to Vancouver, Canada

I have no pictures for April 22nd. That was our day in Victoria, BC and I decided not to carry my camera around. You will have to check Diane's entry for the 22nd to see what was on our agenda. I do have to admit, once we were out touring, I wished I had taken my camera.

===========================================

Today, Wednesday the 23rd is the day we take the ferry from Vancouver Island to the city of Vancouver, British Columbia. We had to drive about 18 miles up to Schwartz Bay to catch the ferry.

Here is the ferry as we started driving forward to board the ferry, as you can imagine, Diane really enjoyed my taking pictures and driving aboard the ferry at the same time. There are multiple levels for vehicles. We were on the upper part and the tractor trailers, city & tour buses and other large vehicles go down on the lower level.We were the second car to board on our level. Here you can see the view as we entered the vehicle area.
This is the view out the front of the vehicle area as we were sitting waiting to dock so we could disembark. During the 1 hour and 35 minute crossing, all passengers are required to leave their vehicles (cars, trucks, buses and RVs) and be up in the passenger area during the crossing. No one is allowed down in the vehicle are until just before docking.Looking back in the vehicle area just before we drove off the ferry.
We drove directly from the ferry to the hotel so we didn't get any sightseeing pictures along the way.

These pictures are the view for our room on the 20th floor in downtown Vancouver. As you can see, some were taken when we arrived in the afternoon, another during sunset (of course sun sets behind the building right in front of our hotel) and and one after sundown.
